Workshop Courses for 2019

Looking at Townscapes

These four workshops will focus on tackling the subject of buildings, streets and the urban environment using both drawing and painting. We will look for the aesthetic in many different urban subjects including figures but keep the portraying of them straightforward and uncomplicated. Forget the mathematical instruments, perspective will be tackled by simple assessment and rules of thumb with the enphasis on just getting buildings and figures 'to just look right'

Wilton Community Centre, Wilton, Salisbury, SP2 0DZ
Friday 1st March, Friday 8th March, Friday 15th March & Friday 22nd March
10 - 4pm

All four workshops £39 per day
Two or more workshops £42 per day
One workshop £45 per day

Working from 'Real'

Good observation is the foundation of any successful picture. These workshops are going to focus on looking at real landscape, groups of objects, a person or a scene and analyzing how they can be simplified as an image in 2D. This we will do using both drawing techniques and different painting media

Wilton Community Centre, Wilton, Salisbury, SP2 0DZ
Monday 4th June, Monday 11th June, Monday 18th June & Monday 25th June
10 - 4pm

Four workshops £39 per day
Two or more workshops £42 per day
One workshop £45 per day

Although the workshops are built in 4 week modules each day is a unit in its own right and can be enjoyed individually. However the modules are designed to provide the best results by following the course. Payment or part payment will be required with booking. In the case of illness then a credit will be issued to be used at a future date.

You will be contacted about two weeks before each course with a materials list and any resources that you might need. In the main I will supply most resources over and above your normal painting requirements

Unlimited tea, coffee, squash and biscuits are provided but you will need to bring a packed lunch
